Whinlatter
Forest Park can be found near Keswick and is England's
only mountain forest. Within the forest and fells you
will discover some great viewing points of the surrounding
area of the Lakes. There are a number of pinic areas
to be found.
You will find an adventure playground for the younger
members of the family, waymarked trails for all ages
or you could test your skills on the permanent orienteering
course.
At
the visitor centre you will find the forest shop and
also the tea room. At the centre learn about the Lake
District Osprey Project and view on CCTV pictures of
the osprey nest in Dodd Wood. [Please
