Cockermouth is an ancient market town and can be found in the northern parts of Cumbria on the edge of the National Park where the River Cocker and the River Derwent meet.
The town received its charter in 1221 it will be found to be a town with character and charm with its maze of old streets, alleyways and yards. Cockermouth is a town associated with plenty of history from the Romans to Fletcher Christian [On Bounty] the mutineer who was born here. Mary Queen of Scots and Robert the Bruce have passed through the town.
