The Coppice Guest House

Built in traditional Lakeland stone & style this once vicarage retains all its character and charm. Sitting quietly in an elevated position between the villages of Windermere and Bowness, it is perfectly placed for touring or walking in the Lake District National Park.

The all en-suite bedrooms have been individually designed so each has its own distinctive feel. Choose from the grand opulence of our canopied four poster rooms, the chic plush style created for our deluxe doubles and the attention to detail in our twin and family suites.

Our renowned Lakeland breakfast is sourced from local produce including championship butcher made sausages, fine cured bacon and farm fresh free range eggs. Evening dinner features Cumbrian fell-bred beef, pork and lamb, fish from Fleetwood together with homemade breads and desserts.

Our accommodation is mostly double bedded and some FOUR-POSTERS, all en-suite with showers or baths and 2 family rooms, one with a four-poster. These are let as doubles, twins or singles as required.

Our rooms are all individually interior designed with comfortable pocket sprung beds, beautiful bed springs and curtains, and also a refreshments tray, welcome mini decanter of sherry, luxury toiletries, clock alarm, hair-dryer, games, books and magazines to read. All our bedrooms have a DVD or video TV with a selection of films. For your convenience and pleasure, all rooms have pressurised hot and cold water and pressurised heating running from separate boilers for a constant supply to both systems.

Enjoy an aperitif by the coal fire whilst your meal is freshly cooked. We have an excellent local reputation for our food and only use locally grown ‘Fellbred' Beef, Pork, Lamb or poultry, supporting our farming community, and fresh fish from Fleetwood.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served between 8:30am & 9:15am and is of excellent size and quality, if you go away hungry you only have yourself to blame.

There is always a VEGETARIAN choice available, and other dietary requirements can be catered for, gluten free, fat free or sugar free, with prior notice.

Dinner orders are taken in the lounge, between 7pm and 8:15pm
from our 3 course Choice menu .

We are only minutes from the bus and train stations and given notice we will collect you during your stay. Mini bus tours of half and full day duration starting at our front door.

You can leave the car in our ample car park and walk to Bowness taking a cruise round Windermere Lake, or stroll in the fells with a packed lunch.

Before returning to the Coppice, call in at ‘PARKLANDS' for FREE USE OF OUR LEISURE CLUB MEMBERSHIP , pop into the sauna, steam room or jacuzzi and bubble your aches and pains away, returning refreshed and rejuvenated. After dinner why not take a stroll to our local pub just round the corner called the BROOKSIDE.

Wedding Package

Relax with your friends and family at The Coppice enjoying the use of our small but well tended garden, take advantage of the sun terrace for a pre-wedding drink or a post wedding celebration when returning from the marriage ceremony, Or in the colder months enjoy the warmth of our roaring log fire crackling in the hearth.

You will be served award winning foods accompanied with good wines and a very personal service, where both Barbara and I with our small dedicated team will attend to your every requirement.

Tariff

Price's are Per Person Per Night (pppn) : and  range from Winter through to High Summer Tarrifs.

• Nice Double Ensuite – £32.00 - £40.00 pppn
• Twin Room Ensuite – £34.00 - £40.00 pppn
• Superior Double (Corner Bath) £40.00 - £48.00 pppn
• Quality Deluxe (Four Poster) – £40.00 - £48.00  pppn

Weekends: Minimum 2 nights • Bank Holidays: Minimum 3 nights, August Bank holiday min 4 nights stay.

All prices are per person, per night, include Full Lakeland or Continental Breakfast and are inc. of VAT at the current rate. (Prices valid until December 2008).

Family Rooms are available to accommodate three and four people.
Family Room extras:-

• Cot £5.00 including Breakfast
• Single Bed £15.00 including Breakfast (first child)
• Single Bed £10.00 including Breakfast (second child)

Family Room extras are added to your Double Room Rate after discount (if applicable).

Single Room Rates, please add £20.00 to the pppn tariff.

Dinner is available, please take a look at our Menu in the Food & Drink section. Dinner reservations must be pre-booked on the day of arrival.

Confirmation & cancellation Policy...

You can confirm a booking in two ways:

1. Send a £30.00 cheque with a covering letter, which will be acknowledged with our confirmation back to you.
2. Send by FAX, Phone or Email a Debit / Credit Card Number with the number and expiry date plus the issue number if you have one. This will GUARANTEE the booking. We will confirm back as requested, by fax, Email or Voice-mail.

Your Card number is tested to validate the booking, But we do not RUN the card or take any money from your account till you are ready to leave after your stay.

IF YOU WISH TO CANCEL YOUR BOOKING. WE require TWO (2) weeks notice of cancellation for a full deposit refund before the booked date. After that date you may lose your deposit if we cannot Re-Let the room and a charge of £30.00 would be made on your Card.

IF YOU FAIL TO TURN UP, AND DO NOT NOTIFY US FOR WHATEVER REASON, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE FULL, OR PART OF THE FULL STAY, THAT WE CANNOT RELET "AT THE FULL TARIFF RATE APPLICABLE."
