Escape with your group to Stonetrail and enjoy a breath of fresh air with an outdoor activity days arranged to suit you. Perfect for corporate groups, hen parties, stag parties or to celebrate a special occasion we offer a private venue with a choice of activities in a spectacular setting at the foot of Wild Boar fell.
We offer your guests a choice of activities including Horse Riding and Cycling which have been chosen to complement rather than compete with the natural environment we are proud to be part of. Your guests can expect to experience that get away from it all kind of feeling and we aim that they will leave believing they have experienced a place they will never forget.
We look after one group at a time and therefore give you our undivided attention for groups of up to 15. Our in-house activities are led by qualified staff and include hill walking, mountain biking and horse riding. Please click on our website pages to find out more information about these activities which will be tailored to suit ability and include a unique insight into the history and geological background of our environment. We understand the difficulties in planning group days which have "something for everyone" and therefore we can also offer additional activities and these include golf, fishing, pottery and even a Cumbrian Cookery experience.
Stonetrail Horse Riding in the Yorkshire Dales offers tailor made horse treks and holidays through inspiring scenery ranging from 1 hour to a full day. Own horses are most welcome and for experienced riders we also offer horses for hire to follow our pre-planned routes.
Whilst we have a fabulous selection of routes and will always tailor the ride to suit your ability, we do require that as a minimum standard you are able to safely steer your horse whilst maintaining a confident rising trot.
Situated at Ravenstonedale, midway between Sedbegh and Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria we are fortunate to be surrounded by some of the best off road riding routes in the UK. Personally guided treks which provide you with a fascinating insight into the local history and legends of our area, this is a riding experience which we promise will leave a lasting impression.
Stay in one of our luxury courtyard apartments or one of our excellent local B&B 's and let us arrange a bespoke riding holiday just for you. Own horses are most welcome and we can arrange an experienced rider to safely guide you on some spectacular routes you may otherwise not discover.
We have a small team of well mannered, forward going horses and offer a high standard of personal attention to ensure a quality riding experience. Riding in small groups led by friendly BHS trained staff, we ride in an open and relaxed order at a pace to suit you.
On your return you can look forward to complimentary tea and cakes at the end of your ride and a relaxing sit down in our riders lounge. We also offer light lunches which are a great way to make your visit even more special. Non riding partners are most welcome to come along and use our facilities to enjoy a walk or just sit and enjoy the views.
The minimum standard is an ability to mount and maintain good control whilst at walking pace. Most people who have been pony trekking a few times or who had had a couple of lessons should be able to meet this standard.
Mountain Bike Riding
Biking in the Dales Stonetrail Holidays in Cumbria, close to the Yorkshire Dales offers great value mountain bike holidays, mountain bike hire, mountain bike skills courses and guided riding. You can even take to the hills on one of our horse treks or enjoy a walk, popular alternatives for guests who prefer not to bike.
Open all year and available for weekend, mid week or week long breaks,our affordable luxury self catering accommodation ranges from one bedroom apartments to a spacious 3 bedroom house which can sleep up to 8. By combining all 3 houses, we can accommodate groups of between 1 and 14.
Situated in Cumbria, close to the Howgills and the Yorkshire Dales border, we have a fantastic selection of mountain bike routes for all abilities in a spectacular quiet setting. We are just a few minuets ride of the new Pennine Bridleway, Englands latest long distance trail built specifically for cyclists which connects us to an extensive network of trails in the Yorkshire Dales offering some of the best off road riding routes in the UK.
You need not worry about route planning as we have created our own free route maps and our extensive knowledge of these fells mean we can offer as much help and advice as you wish.
