Stockghyll Cottage is a fantastic lakeland stone cottage surrounded by woods and yet less than half a mile level stroll from the bustling centre of Bowness on Windermere.
On our doorstep are lovely woodland walks and lakeside paths to follow
together with lots of Lakeside attractions.
We have three en-suite rooms to offer you. There is a double with a Lake View, another room with twin single beds, also with a Lake View and a double with a view into the woods towards the waterfall at the side of the cottage.
All guests get a scrummy breakfast.
Sorry but we do not take children under 10 years old.
We don't accept pets or other animals, as we do not have sufficient room and
facilities at the cottage.
We have private off-road parking in the drive-way
and can offer storage for bicycles, boats etc.
Adrian & Heather often bake lovely home made cakes for you to enjoy with afternoon tea, why not enjoy them in the garden by the stream on a lovely summers day.
Bedrooms
Room 1
Room 1 is slightly smaller than the others and doesn't have a view of the lake, although it does look out to the woods and waterfall. Furnished in a bright modern style it is very cosy and often requested for that reason. The ensuite is modern with parquet flooring and is fully tiled.
Room 2
Room 2 is our largest room with an ensuite comprising of a WC and shower. The modern wash-basin is in the bedroom on an antique marble washstand.
There are two windows, two chairs, and according to guests,
the comfiest bed in the world.
Room 3
Room 3 is a twin-bedded room, ideal for 2 friends or relatives. Because of this we have put the wash-basin in the en-suite with the WC and shower to ensure privacy. A lovely warm-toned room with pine furniture.
Room 2 and Room 3 both have a view over the field to the lake.
In the rooms you will find TV, clock radio, hair dryer, tissues, and tea/coffee facilities. All our rooms have en-suites with showers. We supply fresh towels, liquid soap and shower cream. If you are unlucky enough to experience wet weather we can dry your coats and boots in our cloakroom.
