Built in 1836, The Silverdale Hotel is a listed building with a friendly atmosphere fully in keeping with the area and has been recently taken over by Julie Housley and John Yates.

The Silverdale Hotel is a free house and provides good food and drink and comfortable accommodation, with a warm welcome and excellent service. Silverdale is an crowd free base for enjoying walking in the Arnside and Silverdale AONB, birdwatching at Leighton Moss RSBP Reserve or the wealth of historic and other attractions of the Lake District, Bowland and North Yorkshire Moors.

The Silverdale Hotel is a family hotel and welcomes children. We have eight en-suite bedrooms.

On entering the Hotel through the wood panelled reception area you will find yourself in the main lounge bar, well stocked with beers, wines and spirits, we serve excellent varied bar meals daily. Besides the main wood panelled lounge there are other corners to relax, with cosy fires in winter and comfortable arm chairs. The conservatory is a large extension to the lounge and provides a light and airy dining area overlooking the beer garden. Beyond the conservatory is the Brittania Room, a comfortable dining area.

Julie and John pride themselves on their excellent food using only seasonal fresh vegatables and locally sourced meat, caterers by trade and also a family tradition since 1802.

The Silverdale Hotel has eight rooms all en-suite most with views over the bay or the hotel gardens and the adjacent fields, there will be three more luxury rooms available in early 2008. All our residential guests have access to a private garden should they wish to read or simply unwind.

All rooms are equiped with televisions, tea and coffee facilities, hair driers and ironing stations.
