Situated on the world famous Coast to Coast walk the Shepherds Arms Hotel is a gem of a country house hotel and inn offering ensuite accommodation, home cooked produce and real ales (CAMRA awarded).
The Shepherds Arms Bar is open to the public and is included in The AA's Best Pub Guide and Alister Sawday's Special Places - Pubs and Inns Guide and other guides.
Specialities are real ales and home cooked locally sourced produce.
An extensive full bar menu is available with homemade,
vegetarian and daily special dishes being available.
The Shepherds Arms Hotel has instigated a 'Green Policy' to help reduce its 'carbon footprint' and help the environment. It is hoped that guests will assist in this policy and play their part during there visit to The Shepherds Arms Hotel.
The hotel has three twin and three double rooms all with ensuite facilities and one twin, one small double with private bath and shower.
Family rooms (to sleep 3) are also available.
All bedrooms are centrally heated and are non-smoking. Tea and coffee making facilities, radio alarm, telephones, internest access and 9 channel digital television
are available in all the rooms.
The rooms differ in size and layouts. All bathrooms have been refurbished along with four of the rooms recently.
Breakfast is served in the non-smoking Georgian panelled dining room. An extensive bar menu is available in the bar at lunchtimes and in the evenings. A selection of fine wines is also available to complement your meal after which you can relax in the comfortable lounge with its open log fire.
