We are within easy walking distance of the centre of the village of Ambleside, and Waterhead also has several bars, restaurants and cafés, right on your doorstep. We offer shared use of our leisure spa with whirlpool, sauna and showers, as well as a private courtyard with barbecue facilities. We have a full Wireless Internet System available in all the apartments and hotel rooms for a small weekly charge. We offer different styles of accommodation, both self-catering apartments and private hotel rooms.

Apartments First Floor

We have a total of 18 self-catering apartment, each sleeping up to a maximum of 6 people. Each apartment has 2 bedrooms, one double and one twin, plus a sofabed.

There is a fully-fitted kitchen, a dining area with colour TV, DVD recorder and hi-fi System, as well as a lounge and large bathroom. There is a drying cupboard, and all apartments have double glazing.

Outside is a paved courtyard with barbeque area, a leisure spa including whirlpool, sauna and showers and a laundry room.

The first floor apartments also offer a balcony.

WHAT TO SEE AND DO

		Quaysiders is close to many rivers and lakes which are popular with canoeists. Lake Windermere is right next to our accommodation, and there is a public launching area right across the road from our door. Windermere is popular for those using Canadian canoes and kayaks.
		Many fellwalks can be started directly from your accommodation, such as an ascent of Red Screes, or the famous Fairfield Horseshoe. Smaller fells such as Wansfell (with perhaps the best view of Lake Windermere)
		The Lake District has an extremely wide range of different styles of fishing, from game fishing of every type to coarse fishing.Game fishing in Windermere includes Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Sea Trout and Salmon.
		There are several golf courses close to our accommodation, the nearest being the course at Windermere Golf Club. This 18-hole golf course is located in a beautiful setting in the low fells South of the village of Windermere, with a backdrop of the Lakeland Fells.
		Our accommodation is ideally located as a base for a rock-climbing trip to the Lake District. The well-known climbing areas of Langdale, Coniston (Dow Crag) and the Eastern Crags area are all on our doorstep.
		Windermere is a mecca for dinghy sailors as well as the owners of larger sailing craft. Quaysiders offers a superb base for a boating holiday, being literally right across the road from the public slipway at Waterhead.
