Welcome to Plumtree House in Brigsteer near Kendal on the very edge of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria. At Plumtree we are proud to offer quality Lake District bed and breakfast accommodation in a beautiful rural setting.
We have three bedrooms available, all of which have their own en-suite bathroom facilities. Due to our location each of the bedrooms offer excellent countryside views.
 Guests of Plumtree House are welcome to make use of our residents lounge where you can relax and unwind in front of a real log fire after a hard day's leisure.
We are situated just 3 miles from the attractive market town of Kendal on the very edge of the Lake District National Park and the M6 motorway is just a 15 minute drive away. All of which makes Plumtree House an ideal base for exploring the Lake District.
Bedrooms
Plumtree House offers three bedrooms - two doubles and one twin bedded room. All of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities as well as colour televisions, tea and coffee making facilities, radio, hairdryer and shaver points. Most rooms have panoramic views across and along the renowned Lyth Valley, famous for its damson orchards.

Breakfast
At Plumtree House our hearty full English breakfasts are cooked to order using a range of fresh local Cumbrian produce, together with a choice of cereals and fruit juices. However, we are able to cater for other tastes, or special diets including continental and vegetarian breakfasts. Please contact us for further details.
In the evenings, the village pub (The Wheatsheaf) is within five minutes walking distance and offers an extensive restaurant and bar menu together with a good selection of local and guest beers including Damson Wine and Damson Gin.
However, there are many great places to eat and drink in Kendal, which is just a short drive (3 miles) from Plumtree House. We are happy to recommend good quality eating and drinking establishments to you.
Relaxation
At Plumtree House guests can take advantage of our warm and relaxing private lounge with open an log fire where you can unwind with a book, or perhaps by watching television after your hard day's leisure!
The surrounding countryside is very quiet, which makes it ideal for a gentle stroll whilst you soak up the panoramic views of the Lyth Valley.
Tariff
All prices are based on two people sharing a double or twin room and
include full English, Continental or
Vegetarian breakfast. (prices are in pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT)
Low Season
January - May & November - December (excluding bank holidays)
One night stay £32.00pppn
Two or three nights stay £30.00 pppn
High Season
One night stay £35.00pppn
Two or three nights stay £32.00 pppn
Bank Holidays
A minimum booking of two nights £35.00 pppn
Single Occupancy
A supplement of £8.00 is charged for a double or twin room used for single Occupancy.(excluding Bank Holidays)
Children
Children under the age of twelve are charged at half price if occupying a Family room.

All reservations are only accepted by Plumtree House once we have sent a formal acknowledgement and we are in possession of either a £40.00 deposit or the full amount of the cost of your stay.
We reserve the right to refuse online bookings if a room or rooms have been manually allocated by Plumtree House.
Cancellation / curtailment policy:
If you cancel or curtail any part of your stay within 1 week of arrival we may charge up to the full value of your visit.
If we have to cancel your reservation, we will give a full refund or rearrange your stay for another date. Our liability will be limited to the cost of the accommodation booked at Plumtree House and does not include any other costs incurred by you.
