Orchard Cottage Guest House in the heart of Coniston village has views of the surrounding fells and is ideally situated as a stop over on the Cumbria Way and for other long distance walkers, tourers or anybody wanting a relaxing few days away.
Orchard Cottage has three en-suite bedrooms, two with double beds and one with twin/super king.

The accommodation also has a relaxing guest lounge,
with colour TV, a dining room and provision for private off road parking.

Boxing Day & New Year's Eve
 All properties are non smoking Being near to the popular areas of the Lake District and also the more remote.
The area has quite a history including copper mining & slate quarries all of which can still be seen on the fells which surround the village.

Perhaps best known for the lake, Coniston Water, where Donald Campbell lost his life and is now buried in the village graveyard. On the east side of the lake with stunning views towards Coniston Old Man is Brantwood former home of John Ruskin or visit the Ruskin museum in the village centre.
Take a leisurely trip on the lake aboard the gondola or one of the launches. For the more energetic there are water sports, cycling in nearby Grizedale forest or walking the Coniston fells. Tarn Hows another beauty spot is close by as is the attractive village of Hawkshead.
