Newlands Fell Guest House offers luxury B&B accommodation in the tranquil setting of Newlands Valley near Keswick in the Northern Lake District. Our newly renovated barn conversion property has six comfrotable en-suite bedrooms,
a lounge, bar area and guest parking.

Surrounded by some of the best known mountains in the Lakes,
Newlands Fell Guest House has spectacular views, comfortable rooms, quality breakfasts and a warm welcome from the owners.

Step out of the door and you are struck by the natural beauty of the Northern Lakes. There are panoramic views across to Cat Bells and Maiden Moor and you're welcome to leave you car and set off on one of many adventures by foot or bike.

Newlands Valley is only ten minutes drive from the market town of Keswick and the local lake, Derwentwater. It is an ideal location for exploring the Northern and Western Lake District and Cumbrian coastline

The night sky at Newlands Fell Guest House is stunning - on clear nights the sky abounds with with diamond glints of the most wondrous beauty. When there is a full moon, Newlands Valley and Catbells are bathed in a incandescent glow.

Bedrooms

Newlands Fell Guest House has been lovingly renovated and now offers modern comforts whilst still retaing the integrity of a Lakeland barn. Wooden beams help shape the comfortable rooms, all which have been furnished to a high standard. All bedrooms have en-suite shower, w.c & sink, colour LCD televisions and tea/coffee making facilities. We also provide a lounge, with large sofas, an open fire and bar area, where to can chat to other guests or relax away from the bed rooms.

Dining Room / Bar

If you are planning a walk, touring the mountains or a day out in Keswick, our appetising breakfasts will set you up for the day. You are welcome to choose from our menu's which will normally consist of:

FULL ENGLISH
Choice of Bacon, sausage, mushrooms, black pudding, tomatoes, beans, fried, poached or scrambled egg. Rounded off with a fresh pot of tea or coffee and freshly made toast and butter.

CONTINENTAL
Croissant, fresh toast and preserves

CEREAL
Hot heart warming porridge served with honey, selection of breakfast cereal served with an ice cold jug of milk.

EVENING MEAL
Home cooked evening meal is available at an additional cost, see our menu board and let us know in the morning if you wish to arrange for your evening meal to be reserved.

Things to do

Keswick and the Northern Lake District is renown for its spectacular scenery and dramatic landscape. There are some of the highest mountains in England - Scafell Pike, Helvellyn, Blencathra to name a few - and some of the most beautiful lakes - Buttermere, Thirlmere and, of course, Derwentwater.

These challenging mountains and stunning views a variety of visitors from walkers, climbers and mountain bikers to those interesting in the fascinating history of the area (Borrowdale, the next valley, is birthplace of the pencil & Castlerigg Stone Circle is one of the oldest in Britain!)

Newlands provides access to a wonderful array of activities for all ages and abilities. Keen walkers and moutnain bikers can step out of the door and be faced with some of the finest fell walks and bike rides in Britain. Climbers and paragliders have a choice of superb crags and fells.

Familes can head to nearby Derwentwater for sailing and windsurfing or go to various museums and parks. There are gentle walks round Buttermere where you can stop for homemade ice-cream. Alternatively take the car for a scenic drive over Whinlatter Forest, through Lorton valley, past Crummock Water & Buttermere, over Honister to Borrowdale, through Keswick and back to Newlands.
