Voted Camra pub of season 2007 It is located in the pretty Lakeland village of Braithwaite, two miles west of Keswick and opposite the impressive Skiddaw mountain range which dominates the Northern Fells and offers comfortable accommodation and good food in a central location.
The Middle Ruddings Hotel was stone built in 1903 (with later extensions) and retains the friendly and open atmosphere of that period. It is set in attractive gardens.
Bedrooms
All our rooms are en suite and have full central heating, colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities.
We also have two suites, one of which, the Ruskin Suite, has its own private balcony overlooking the landscaped grounds.
It is our aim to make your stay as relaxing and as comfortable as possible. Some rooms have a bath, others a shower. Some have both. If you have a preference, we will do our best to accommodate you. Please mention this when booking.
We can offer twin or double rooms, some with four poster beds for that extra romantic touch, and also have single rooms available. Some rooms have an additional single bed as family rooms.
There is ample hanging and drawer space for outdoor clothing as well as casual wear for evening relaxation.
Dining Meals are served each lunchtime and evening in the dining room,
the Conservatory or the bar.
Evening meals maybe selected from our extensive menu or from our "specials" menu. There are vegetarian meals on the menu as well as Children's meals. If you have any particular dietary requirements, please contact Middle Ruddings.
In the morning we offer a full "English" breakfast as well as your own choice of options. Help yourself to cereals, juices etc. while we prepare your choice of main course breakfast. Toast with butter or spread and preserves is also provided, as well as tea or coffee.
For a more informal feel, you may take your meal in our licensed bar.
Our cellar is stocked with a fine selection of wines and beers.
