Lake District Accommodation

Martindales

9/11 Sandes Ave.Kendal.LA9 4LL

This family run business was started in 1979. The guest house consists of two stone terraced cottages which have been converted but kept faithful to their original character

Because of this it is not suitable for the disabled..

The attractive bar/lounge is licensed and immaculately kept. There is a real fire lit in the colder months with plenty of comfortable seating

You can choose your own breakfast the night before and enjoy it in the dining room. Mrs. Martindale uses local produce wherever possible.

She is not able to provide evening meals but Kendal's restaurants and pubs are within very easy walking distance and cater for all tastes.

All rooms are en suite and have tv and hospitality trays. Some have views over the River Kent.
In 3 minutes you can walk to Kendal Bus Station with service to most areas of the Lake District. In 10 minutes you can walk to Kendal railway station with services to Windermere and a link to Oxenholme main line station. All the facilities of Kendal town centre are very accessible.
There is limited off road parking and it is permitted to stop for loading or unloading outside the front door.

Directions.Martindale's is on the A6, follow the signs to Shap. It is on the left just before you reach Victoria Bridge over the River Kent. If you reach Homebase, you have gone too far. Mrs Martindale will happily send you a map if you need one.
