Low Loanthwaite Farm is a working Lakeland farm that will give you a real taste of rural life. Located just outside Hawkshead the farm makes an ideal place to tour the Lake District. With the highest Lakeland Fells within easy reach and the fact you can pick up walks from the farm gates the locations is perfect for all levels of walkers and climbers.
Low Loanthwaite Farm is a 16th Century circa Grade II listed building. It has a welcoming homely atmosphere. It has a number of traditional features such as beamed ceilings and open fire (cast iron range). It also has some interesting features which illustrate its developments over the last four centuries such as oak beams and the unusual "crog loft".
A full English breakfast is served. Once owned by Beatrix Potter, an ideal base for those interested in the history of the Lakes.
