All are welcome, from 4 years upwards.
We have access to excellent private hacking over varied terrain with stunning views towards the Lake District and East into the Fells. If you are lucky, you might see birds of prey hunting overhead and wild deer grazing in the fields!

You can groom,tack up,learn about horse behaviour,plait if you wish or lead out in hand.

Holmescales Riding Centre are a family run business with over 25 years experience
in providing friendly riding tuition.

including BHSII and BHSAI.
Outstanding facilities including indoor school, outdoor jumping paddock,
and cross-country fences.
Private and group lessons for adults and children.
Private instruction available with your own horse.

The indoor school provides a perfect venue for dressage and show-jumping classes, as well as being a great way of keeping our lead rein riders dry during rainy days. Seated spectator area. |

Our outdoor arena is a safe area for lessons - particularly small groups and private lessons. |

The 2 acre jumping paddock is a good place for building more challenging jumping courses. Lessons out here also provide excellent oppportunities to work in open order. |

have now qualified for the Horse of the Year show.
