Situated a couple of minutes walk from the centre of
Windermere village and just off the main Windermere
to Bowness road is Greenriggs Guest House. Greenriggs is a traditional Lakeland stone Victorian end terraced house
offering Bed and Breakfast accommodation.
All bedrooms rooms are centrally heated with colour
television, tea/coffee facilities, shaver points and
washbasins with the majority of which are en-suite.

Directions

To find us, take junction 36 of the M6 follow signs to Kendal then Windermere, turn into Windermere off the A591, down Victoria Street, along Crescent Road and left onto Oak Street (Co-op Welcome store on the corner) carry straight onto Upper Oak Street, Greenriggs is situated on the right.
WHAT TO SEE AND DO
Greenriggs is an ideal base for touring and sightseeing the breathtaking Lake District landscape, for leisure and pleasure, which lies on our doorstep. You will find plenty of local walks and the ever popular Orrest Head with excellent views of the Lake Windermere and the Lakeland fells and beyound. Plenty of activities can be found close by fishing, cycling and mountain biking, boating, and horse riding. Ambleside, Grasmere, Keswick, Hawkshead, Coniston and the Langdale Valley are all within 20 - 40 minutes drive by car making us a ideal choice to stay.
Windermere and Bowness offers retail outlets, shops, cafe's, restaurants, bars and a cinema whilst attractions within the district include the popular Lake Windermere Cruises, Windermere Beatrix Potter Attraction, Windermere Steamboats & Museum, Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole on the shore of Lake Windermere. Nearby is the National Trust's 'Townend' the home of the Browne Family for 300 years and a short distance away in Ambleside is Armitt Library and Museum, Stagshaw Gardens and the ever popular Hayes Garden World with William Wordswoth Rydal Mount, at Rydal and Dove Cottage at Grasmere.
