Welcome to Graythwaite Manor Hotel. This beautifully furnished country house hotel provides an exclusive, comfortable and tranquil setting in which to relax, enhanced by its peaceful situation in eight acres of private, landscaped gardens and woodland, on a hillside looking out over Morecambe Bay. Opened in 1937 as a family run hotel Graythwaite has maintained its period charm, and friendly atmosphere.

 

Each bedroom is tastefully furnished. All have private bathroom, colour television, telephone and tea & coffee making facilities. Many provide superb views across the gardens and bay to the Pennines beyond.

Our guests are free to enjoy our multi-award winning gardens, or to spend the day relaxing in one of our four comfortable lounges. With numerous local attractions and beautiful walks around the Lake District National Park, North Lancashire and West Yorkshire regions, there is plenty to do for everyone all within a short distance. Drive inland a few miles and you are soon at Lake Windermere or Coniston Water and on the way to some of the most majestic scenery in the country.Grange-over-Sands faces south-east and is sheltered by the surrounding hills providing a locally warmer microclimate. Subtropical plants and trees grow in its ornamental gardens and snow rarely settles in winter.

Graythwaite Manor is well noted for its superb cuisine, the head chef working closely with the management to ensure the highest standards. However you spend your day, you can look forward to a four course dinner, choice of carefully prepared dishes and the right wine from our extensive cellar.

 

Dining at Graythwaite Manor Hotel & Restaurant

We use fresh local produce as far as possible. Among the wide variety, we usually include a traditional plain English roast, with all the proper trimmings. Please call for example luncheon and dinner menus.

For functions and special occasions Graythwaite Manor offers a choice of dining venues in the form of the Main Dining Room and the Conservatory.

Weddings

We have six locations around the hotel to hold civil ceremonies.
We can cater for up to 60 guests for a sit down meal and up to 100 for a buffet. Evening entertainment and food can also be arranged.
