Anne and Dave Robinson have restored the house to modern standards of comfort and have taken great care to preserve the character and calm of the building with, its slate flag floors, beams and other timbers. It is tastefully decorated and furnished. You can be assured of a good traditional breakfast cooked on the farmhouse kitchen Rayburn. Breakfast is served in the dining room which has been converted from the orginal farm dairy. There is still the old cooling slab, ham hooks on the beams and slate flag floors. There is a seperate lounge for you to relax after a good day out. Here there is an ingle nook fire place, original flag floors & lovely view over the garden and across the valley.

Rusland valley is an ideal place for country lovers. There are plenty of space to park your car , at Crosslands and a secure area for your mountain bikes. From here you don't need to use your car. There are many walks for you to enjoy. David is keen on conservation and has developed a new wood with a permissive footpath through it. Here you can enjoy rare flowers, small shrubs and wildlife. Deer are regularly seen along with badgers, moorhens, curlews, barn owls and woodpeckers.
Accommodation B&B
The bedrooms at Crosslands are comfortably furnished and decorated. Both have tea & coffee facilities and a television. There is a double room (Rusland View) with en-suite shower room and a window seat where you can enjoy a lovely view across the fields. Cottages
At Crosslands there is a traditional 17th century barn which has been converted into 2 superb self-catering cottages. Set in the peaceful surrounds of the Rusland Valley, both properties are ideal for a relaxed country holiday with the added excitement of an Arctic Spa hot tub, where adults can relax tired muscles after a day on the fells.
Stable End

Stable End sleeps 6 and is Bank built, occupying three levels, with the middle floor devoted to the spacious kitchen with pine table, and sitting room with log-burning stove.The top floor houses the master bedroom in a beamed pitched roof, along with whirlpool bath and separate shower. At ground level there are two twin bedrooms and a utility area.
Wood View

Wood View sleeps 10. The entrance is through the original great barn doorway. The well furnished sitting room with balcony has a beautiful open fire. The kitchen is well equipped with adjacent dining area. Upstairs, a split landing leads one way to a double room and twin room, the other way to a double room with iron bead stead and superb views of the valley. There is also a bathroom with whirlpool bath on this floor. The ground floor has two further bedrooms - a double and a twin, and also another bathroom with separate shower.
Stable End and Wood View can be let together for a larger party. There is a private parking area, patio and orchard.
Caravan Site

Our Caravan Site is a 5 van, C.L. site which is a certified location site. It is 3/4 acre, surrounded by beautiful views of the lakeland hill and fells.The site is at the end of a hard track. There are electric hookups, water at the gate and on the site. There are also swings for the children and plenty of space to run around. It is ideally suited for walkers and bikers. There are many walks in the valley which can easily be reached from the site.
There are also two walks over Dave and Anne's land where you can enjoy the panoramic views. These lead to High Dam or along the fell to Finisthwaite and lower Rusland. Crosslands site is easy to reach with the caravan
