The Cedar Manor Hotel & Restaurant is located on the outskirts of Windermere in the heart of the Lake District.
Built in 1854 as a private country retreat, the hotel now provides comfortable accommodation for those wishing to relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery, wonderful walks and wealth of leisure facilities Windermere and the Lake District National Park have to offer.
Set in mature walled gardens dominated by the 200 year-old cedar tree, the hotel feels peaceful and secluded, yet is just a short stroll away from the shores of Lake Windermere and the centre of Windermere village.

The Cedar Manor Hotel in Windermere offers wonderful accommodation. It has eleven individually designed ensuite rooms, each with their own character and unique features, such as the separate sitting room and luxurious spa bath of Orrest Head Suite , the stunning views of Lake Windermere and the Langdale Pikes from the windows of Langdale , and the romantic four-poster bed of Crinkle Crags . There's even a converted Coach House with its own separate entrance so you can come and go as you please. The Hotel Lounge & Bar
The hotel lounge and bar has comfortable sofas and armchairs for you to relax, have a drink and enjoy the views of the garden.
There are plenty of books, as well as the daily papers, and the armchairs are very cosy, so if you want to, you can spend the whole day here!
If you do decide to venture further than the hotel and explore Windermere and the wonderful Lake District National Park, we have all the information you need to make the most of your time.

We are very proud of our AA Rosette, awarded in September 2007. The A la Carte Menu, which changes seasonally and sources most of its ingredients locally, is open to hotel guests as well as non-residents.
