Being only a minutes walk from the numerous shops, restaurants and pubs of Windermere, a mere 5 minute walk from the railway and coach station, and only a pleasant 15 minute walk to the beautiful Lake Windermere, what more could you ask for

Bedrooms

Cambridge House offers a choice of Double (some double's have kingsize and
super kingsize beds), Twin, Triple or Family rooms,
1 bedroom apartment sleeps 2-4 people

Each room is comfortably and charmingly decorated and offers the essential comforts of ensuite facilities, colour television (most flat screen), all rooms have sattelite television with a choice of over 80 channels, DVDs in all rooms and complimentary use of DVDs, hairdryer, radio alarms CD player, & use of CDs, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary toiletries.
Check in time is 2pm & last check in is 8pm (unless by prior arrangment) and departure is 10am, arrangements can be made to leave luggage for later collection. Unfortunately we are unable to accept children under 10 years of age or pets.
Book a room with a King Size bed TV/DVD or the super kingsize bed on the ground floor they are the perfect setting for a romantic stay (subject to availability). Please note that whilst we offer the very best in comfort and convenience, Cambridge house is a genuine Victorian Guest house built in 1873 with many original features it is not a purpose built hotel, and therefore room sizes and public areas are of a home from home style for the more personal touch - we do not have a seperate guests lounge.

Dining Room

As breakfast is the most important meal of the day we cater for the heartiest of appetites in our relaxed and charming dining room. Using the finest local produce for our deliciously tasty full English breakfast, fresh ground coffee for a tasty start or sample one of our herble/fruit tea, or simply enjoy the more tradional drink with your breakfast ( all breakfasts are pre-ordered the night before to ensure it is delivered to your table piping hot & fresh).

Leisure Facility

Guest staying two nights or more at Cambridge House can enjoy the use of the facilities at the nearby Parklands Country Club in Bowness www.burnsidehotel.com - an all weather leisure environment.  Guests staying one night can enjoy the facilities at a £8.00 per person per day charge. The club boasts a pool, sauna, steam room jacuzzi, small gym, Keep fit classes (weekdays only) Squash court and Badmington Court, there is also a bar and free use of snooker & pool tables.


For sailing, canoeing, kayaking & boat hire are all available in Bowness, details of all these in the Guest House Reception.  Parklands has excellent facilities including ample free parking, changing rooms, showers, equipment, refreshment shop and extensive spectating areas.



Parklands Country Club is in Bowness, it has lovely gardens to stroll through which lead down to the lake frontage at Bowness.  In addition why not treat yourself at their beauty salon, with a range of treatments they offer all the pampering you need.  After a nice swim relax in the lounge bar, have a game of snooker on the full size snooker table, or a game of pool, or just sit & relax with a couple of drinks.
