The Beeches Caravan Park is located in the charming, tranquil village of Gilcrux, 5 miles north of Cockermouth. For peace and relaxation, the park offers a small and friendly setting in immaculate surroundings. Luxury static caravans are available for hire on a weekly basis or for short breaks and the park is open all year round. We have two grades of caravan - Silver and Gold. The Gold caravans are generally newer and have double glazing and feature either gas or electric panel heaters. The Gold caravans are therefore popular for autumn/winter breaks.
The caravans are spaciously set out in attractive landscaped grounds with car parking by each caravan. A 5mph speed limit is in operation around the park to ensure safety for all our guests. All caravans are non-smoking.
A warm greeting, superb food and fine ales are a short walk away at the nearby The Masons Arms. For those with a hearty appetite, try the delicious home-made pies, traditional Sunday lunch or the exotic mixed grill. Summer evenings can be spent relaxing around the picturesque beer garden. Spend an idyllic evening in front of the log fire in the company of the Gilcrux locals.
For excellent and plentiful food from a varied menu and extensive wine list, holiday guests are welcomed at the Beeches Restaurant located at the entrance to the Caravan Park. The restaurant has been recently extensively refurbished and offers a fine evening's cuisine in sophisticated and comfortable surroundings. The chefs pride themselves on providing good-value wholesome food, sourcing their ingredients from local Cumbrian suppliers. Families and children are all welcome.
