Welcome to Bannerigg Farm where a Cumbrian hospitality awaits from the Park family - Frank, Sheila and Christopher. Bannerigg is a National Trust working farm with cattle, sheep, ducks and geese. Bannerigg offers views of the Lakeland fells and mountains of the Lake District and can be found on the main Kendal Road 1 mile or 10 minutes walk from Windermere.

A farmhouse with real character, charm, oak beams offering bed and breakfast accommodation with en-suite facilities and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness with television and tea and coffee making facilities in all the rooms. Accommodation comprises of 3 double rooms or 2 double rooms and a twin room. Car parking being off road.

As you would expect on a working farm the breakfast is a real hearty fayre. Select from the traditional English breakfast menu, vegetarians are also catered for on request. With energy levels stocked up, you are now ready to explore this beautiful part of the Lake District with its attractions and activities.

WHAT TO SEE AND DO
Bannerigg is perfectly situated for a variety of things to do and is an ideal choice and base to discover the beauty of the English Lake District.

A number of Lakeland attractions nearby include Lake Windermere Cruises, Windermere Beatrix Potter Attraction, Hill Top, Windermere Steamboats & Museum, Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole on the shore of Lake Windermere and is the National Trust's 'Townend' the home of the Browne Family for 300 years. A short drive away to the south of Kendal is the ever popular Low Sizergh Barn Farm Shop Tea Room and Craft Gallery.

Local walks include Orrest Head with its stunning views of Lake Windermere and the Lakeland fells. Fishing, cycling and mountain biking, horse riding and golf are a number of activities are available within the area. Retail outlets, shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and a cinema can be found in Windermere and Bowness.

The towns of Ambleside and Grasmere are only a short distance away with popular attractions Armitt Library and Museum, Stagshaw Gardens and the impressive Hayes Garden World at Ambleside with William Wordswoth Dove Cottage at Grasmere with Ryal Mount between Ambleside and Grasmere.
