Ash Gill Cottages are two adjoining cottages which are ideally located approximately 2 miles from Coniston in the heart of the Lake District National Park.

The cottages are both spacious and comfortable and are situated in Torver, approximately 2 miles from Coniston Village, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Two adjoining luxury houses, apponted to the highest standards, each accommodating up to six people. Set amidst the rolling hills surrounding Coniston Water, the location is one of outstanding natuaral beauty affording one of the most relaxing locartions to be found in the Lake District.

At Ash Gill Cottages you can forget the cares of wveryday life and relax to your heart's content. The splendid location offers you opportunity to put your feet up, breathe in the fresh mountain air - and simply do nothing.

Two local hostelries within strolling distance (both serving food) offer an immediate
opportunity for conviviality and to unwind even further. Alternatively, should your idea of a holiday be of a more active nature, there is ample opportunity for you to occupy your time and excersise your limbs. with Coniston Water a mere two miles away by road, the facility for watersports must be high on the list, while the peak of Coniston Old Man beckons from the rear views of Ash Gill Cottages challenging the sturdy of loin to march right up to the top of the hill and march right down again.

In addition to the ubiquitous Lakeland pastime of rambling and fell walking, the immediate area also provides facilities for pony trekking, orienteering, cycle hire and boat hire. Naturally, this peaceful, idyllic location also makes an idea base for touring the countless beauty spots of the Lake District.

The Cottages

Carefully prepared for guests, each cottage can accommodate up to six people and comprises an entrance hall with lots of space for walking equipment leading to a downstairs toilet, kitchen and large lounge diner.

Each house consists of a welcome entrance hall (with downstairs toilet), an expansive lounge/dining room with sliding patio doors leading to a well equipped patio and large garden - and a kitchen so well equipped that visitors should want for nothing in testing
their culinary skills.

The first floor boasts a double-bedded room with en suite facilities, two comfortable twin-bedded rooms and a bathroom. A gas fire is situated in the lounge with central heating throughout for the cooler times of the year.
Bed linen and towels are provided and there is ample
parking for several cars.

The gardens at Ash Gill cottage allow substantial space for relaxing, sunbathing and barbeque parties (with facilities provided)
