The Beeches Restaurant is centrally located in the tranquil village of Gilcrux, about 5 miles north of Cockermouth. It is located at the entrance to the Beeches Caravan Park and welcomes locals and visitors alike. Families and children are also made very welcome.
The restaurant was originally an old barn and has recently undergone extensive refurbishment under the present ownership. The log fire burner and comfortable, sophisticated bar area contribute to the restaurant's warm and welcoming traditional ambience. The Beeches Restaurant has established a fine reputation for serving delicious food using locally sourced products and the freshest and finest of ingredients.
Cumbrian specialities include local Gilcrux trout, Cumberland sausage, home produced beef, lamb pork and dairy produce as well as fruit, vegetables and herbs.
The Beeches Restaurant offers a wide and varied menu catering for all tastes and appetites including delicious vegetarian options. An extensive wine list compliments the food perfectly.
The Beeches is open every evening from 6.30pm and Sunday lunchtime from 12pm.

Directions:
From Carlisle and Scotland:
Take the A595. Turn off after Moota Inn, the B3501. Signposted for Aspatria and Gilcrux
Through the Lake District on the A66:
From Cockermouth take the A594 to Maryport. Turn right at Dovenby for Tallentire then Gilcrux.
